The advancing nanotechnology company NIL Technology has entered an agreement with the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center at the University of Aarhus and Aalborg University (iNANO) concerning delivery of stamps for nanoimprint lithography (NIL).
The stamps will be used within Life Science research and are an important tool in the further development of already achieved research results. The first order is obtained and will be delivered in May. “As an advanced high tech company it is satisfying that we have been able to get the first order in such a short time after foundation of the company. It shows that already today there is a demand for our products. It is a very important milestone we have reached after only 3 months”, says CEO Theodor Nielsen. The patent pending technology from NIL Technology has already received international interest and the company has visited and presented its technology and solutions to some of the largest high-tech companies in the world, e.g. Samsung, LG, and Hynix Semiconductor. NIL Technology has been chosen as one among only 50 companies to present at the Nanotech Venture fair in Boston 2006 NIL Technology. “Already now we have experienced great interest in our technology although it is not expected that nanoimprint lithography will to be used in the semiconductor industry until 2013, according to ITRS1. I estimate it is very likely that our technology will be used for large volume fabrication of end-user products within 18-24 months”, says CTO Brian Bilenberg
