austriamicrosystems’ business unit Full Service Foundry joins industry-wide group for ESD targets assessment
The council is an independent body of ESD (Electro Static Discharge) experts with the mission to review the ESD robustness requirements of modern IC products for safe handling and mounting in an ESD protected area. Initiated in 2006, the goal of the Industry Council was to recommend ESD target requirements on IC products for safe handling and mounting in ESD protected areas while addressing the constraints from silicon technology scaling and IC design. The council represents IC suppliers, contract manufacturers, ESD tester manufacturers, ESD consultants and ESD IP companies.
