EV Group (EVG), a supplier of wafer bonding and lithography equipment for the MEMS, nanotechnology and semiconductor markets, has announced that it has been named a “Preferred Supplier” in the field of semiconductor by the Global Business Services Purchasing division of Robert Bosch GmbH. EVG is the first semiconductor equipment supplier ever to receive this accolade by Bosch.

According to Bosch, the most efficient suppliers to the company are appointed as preferred suppliers. These suppliers participate to a greater extent in new projects and are involved in development projects at an early stage. EVG received this accolade for its equipment as well as its comprehensive customer support.

“We are honored to be recognized by Bosch, a world leader in the manufacture of innovative MEMS and sensor devices, which are found in myriad applications in our daily lives, from automotive, smart home and entertainment to remote health monitoring,” stated Hermann Waltl, executive sales and customer support director and member of the executive board at EV Group. “EVG’s advanced wafer bonding, lithography and metrology process solutions support critical steps in the manufacturing of MEMS and sensors. Working closely with our customers, we leverage these solutions and our world-class process development and product support services to enable their continued success in developing and commercializing new technologies.”

EVG is a proud participant in multiple industry development initiatives led by Bosch. These include the YESvGaN project, which was established to develop a new class of highly efficient power transistors based on gallium nitride (GaN), and TRANSFORM, a new consortium established to create a European supply chain for silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors. At the heart of both initiatives is the goal of developing solutions that improve energy efficiency for a variety of consumer and industrial applications, which in turn can support the decarbonization of energy and enable a greener world.
