Hamamatsu Photonics and RIKEN sign framework agreement on collaboration

Hamamatsu Photonics and RIKEN have signed a framework agreement on collaboration, which includes exchanges of researchers and other personnel; exchanges of scientific and technological information, including the hosting of lectures, joint seminars, and symposia; and planning of joint research projects.

Hamamatsu Photonics, for its part, is a company pursuing optical technologies that form a foundation for supporting various industries. Through products based on the knowledge and new technologies born from this pursuit, it aims to pioneer new markets, contribute to the advancement of science and technology, realize a more prosperous society and environment, and contribute to human health and happiness.

RIKEN is Japan's leading comprehensive scientific research institute, excelling in fundamental research across a wide range of natural sciences and leading cutting-edge science and technology, enabling early-stage research for industrial applications. It engages in research activities across academic domains such as physical sciences, life sciences, sustainable science, and mathematical, computational, and information sciences, as well as in interdisciplinary knowledge creation and cross-disciplinary collaborative research.

Through collaborative research leveraging their respective strengths, the two organizations plan to contribute to the advancement of science and technology and the development of future society.
