Veolia accelerates growth in microelectronics with €343 million in water technology bookings
Veolia announces strong momentum in its water technology activities in the microelectronics market, with €343 million in bookings since the beginning of the year. This performance underscores Veolia's strong positioning in one of the world's fastest-growing and most demanding industries, where water security is becoming a critical enabler of scale, resilience and speed.
Among the key wins, Veolia has secured two major contracts with a leading semiconductor manufacturer, valued at a combined €243 million: the first will produce ultrapure water for a new fabrication facility in Singapore, while the second will deliver advanced wastewater reclamation and zero liquid discharge treatment at a manufacturing campus in the United States.
These contracts illustrate Veolia’s ability to cover the full water cycle for microelectronics customers, from critical ultrapure water production to advanced wastewater treatment and reuse. They also reflect the relevance of water technologies as a key growth driver under Veolia’s GreenUp strategic plan, with microelectronics identified as a priority market.
By combining proprietary technologies and global expertise, Veolia helps semiconductor manufacturers support production continuity, improve resource efficiency and meet increasingly demanding environmental requirements. As semiconductor manufacturing continues to diversify and reshore globally, Veolia's comprehensive capabilities position it as the partner of choice for building resilient, sustainable industrial infrastructure.
Anne Le Guennec, CEO of Veolia's water technology activities, said: "The microelectronics industry is at the heart of global technological progress, and water is essential to its future. These contracts demonstrate our clients' confidence in our ability to deliver comprehensive, innovative solutions that enable them to scale responsibly. This is exactly what GreenUp is about, positioning water technologies as a driver of operational performance and profitable, sustainable growth."
