Canadian simulation software innovator appoints Intralink
CEMWorks develops physics-based virtual prototyping tools for advanced computational electromagnetic simulation, helping engineers design and analyse complex electronic systems.
Its simulation software platform, Emerald, uses a proprietary solver to run simulations up to 100 times faster than conventional tools. It is used in the design of advanced microelectronics including AI processors, advanced semiconductor packages, high-speed digital chips and mmWave antennas.
Intralink specialises in helping companies to secure customers, partners and investors in overseas markets. It has a presence in 27 locations including Silicon Valley, Boston, London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Poznań, Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok and New Delhi.
Korea is an important growth market for CEMWorks as tech giants including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are investing in high-performance computing, AI chips and next-generation electronic systems. As these architectures become increasingly complex and densely integrated, fast, accurate electromagnetic simulation technology will be essential in managing the design bottlenecks they create.
CEMWorks hopes to benefit from work by government agencies to support a strong commercial dialogue between Canada and Korea in the electronics space. Korean firms are also keen to diversify their technology supply chains, opening the door for trusted overseas partners.
CEMWorks initially appointed Intralink last year to validate opportunities for its technology in Taiwan, a market it identified as offering strong potential because of its demand for advanced electromagnetic simulation across the complex electronics systems and components used in sectors such as integrated circuit (IC) design and manufacturing. Intralink organised a roadshow of meetings with potential customers and partners in the market.
Then, this April, Intralink ran a roadshow for CEMWorks in Korea as part of the Team Canada Trade Mission 2026. This project provided a clear picture of the opportunities,
requirements and ‘pain points’ in Korea’s tech sector – insights which Intralink is now using to tailor CEMWorks' offering and market expansion strategy for the country.
Intralink’s business development team in Seoul will now deepen CEMWorks' relationships with Korean semiconductor companies and suppliers, helping it build relevance among influential players and establish the trust western companies need to succeed in the country.
