Qpixel Technology Opens Office In Japan

Qpixel Technology has announced it has opened a new international office to better address the increasing demand for Qpixel's products in Japan. The Tokyo-based office enables Qpixel to work more closely with its local distributors in the country to offer sales and technical support services to its fast growing base of customers. In addition, Qpixel is pleased to announce that Mr. Yuzo Tsukui has joined the company as Japan Country Manager and will oversee all sales activities in that country.
Qpixel's latest addition to the QL200 product family has sparked a great deal of interest from major Japanese consumer electronics manufacturers of portable audio/video consumer devices and digital home products. Starting with Buffalo as the first Japanese customer to ship a Qpixel H.264-based TV tuner capture and compression device, Qpixel has continued to build customer momentum and engage with various consumer electronics customers in Japan.
In bringing Mr. Tsukui on board as the Japan Country Manager, Qpixel adds a key industry player with an impressive career in the Japanese semiconductor and electronics market, most recently as the Japan President at M-Systems (acquired by SanDisk in Nov 2006). He has also worked as the APAC Manager for Vitesse Semiconductor, where he successfully set up their Japan office and tripled Vitesse's Japan revenue in less than 4 years. In addition, during his tenure at AMD Japan, he led numerous sales and business accomplishments at AMD's key accounts, which earned him several corporate awards and a reputation as one of AMD's top regional sales managers.
“We are very pleased to have Tsukui-san join us in building a strong local presence in Japan,” said Leo Petropoulos, vice president of sales, Qpixel Technology. “The opening of our Japan office is a strong indication of our commitment to our Japanese customer base. With several of our key customers in that country, we feel that we are moving in the right direction with our expansion, and we will continue to deliver sales and support services to our customers and to the growing prospect base in the region.”

AngelTech Live III: Join us on 12 April 2021!
AngelTech Live III will be broadcast on 12 April 2021, 10am BST, rebroadcast on 14 April (10am CTT) and 16 April (10am PST) and will feature online versions of the market-leading physical events: CS International and PIC International PLUS a brand new Silicon Semiconductor International Track!
Thanks to the great diversity of the semiconductor industry, we are always chasing new markets and developing a range of exciting technologies.
2021 is no different. Over the last few months interest in deep-UV LEDs has rocketed, due to its capability to disinfect and sanitise areas and combat Covid-19. We shall consider a roadmap for this device, along with technologies for boosting its output.
We shall also look at microLEDs, a display with many wonderful attributes, identifying processes for handling the mass transfer of tiny emitters that hold the key to commercialisation of this technology.
We shall also discuss electrification of transportation, underpinned by wide bandgap power electronics and supported by blue lasers that are ideal for processing copper.
Additional areas we will cover include the development of GaN ICs, to improve the reach of power electronics; the great strides that have been made with gallium oxide; and a look at new materials, such as cubic GaN and AlScN.
Having attracted 1500 delegates over the last 2 online summits, the 3rd event promises to be even bigger and better – with 3 interactive sessions over 1 day and will once again prove to be a key event across the semiconductor and photonic integrated circuits calendar.
So make sure you sign up today and discover the latest cutting edge developments across the compound semiconductor and integrated photonics value chain.
