Intoto acquisition complete
Acquisition of Intoto to expand embedded multicore development support by Freescale complete.
Freescale Semiconductor has completed its purchase of privately held Intoto, a provider of software platform products for networking and communications equipment manufacturers. The transaction represents another milestone in Freescale’s strategy to deliver comprehensive solutions for its QorIQ communications platforms.
With this transaction, Freescale announces the appointment of former Intoto CEO Sathyan Iyengar as a vice president within the company’s Networking Systems Division.
“This transaction underscores our deep commitment to help customers move to embedded multicore with confidence,” said Dr. Lisa Su, senior vice president and general manager of Freescale’s Networking & Multimedia Group. “Intoto’s modular software architecture, broad application based platforms and engineering talent will enhance our existing single core and multi-core enabling capabilities and give our customers comprehensive system solutions to take full advantage of all that our QorIQ platforms have to offer.”
