Verigy establishes office in Israel
The semiconductor test company is now officially present in Petach Tikva, Israel.
Verigy established a wholly owned subsidiary in Israel effective Sept. 1, 2008. Arie Barak was appointed Country Manager for Verigy Israel. Verigy’s Israeli office will focus on sales, service and support for the region.
“We are proud to make our presence in Israel official,” said Pascal Ronde, Vice President, Sales, Service and Support, Verigy. “This development is consistent with our commitment to provide continued customer satisfaction to the key customers we have in the area.”
Israel continues to be an important force in the semiconductor industry, with contributions in microprocessors, data and voice communications, wireless, IP and networking communications, medical, consumer, automotive, defence and more. Israel is home to five semiconductor fabs, over 150 fabless semiconductor companies, and extensive research and development facilities and design centres.
Mr. Barak joined Verigy’s predecessor company, Agilent Technologies, in 2000, after several years in the semiconductor test industry. He began as a test engineer, and has served as an applications engineer and in sales leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Braude College, Israel.
Verigy’s presence in Israel dates back to the company’s beginnings within Agilent Technologies. Since Verigy became an independent company in June 2006, the company has had a presence in Israel through its third party partner, Adecco.
