GSA and NMI collaborate
Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) and National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) form organisational alliance.
The Global Semiconductor Alliance, an organization focused on accelerating the growth of the global semiconductor industry, and the National Microelectronics Institute (NMI), the trade association representing the semiconductor industry in the UK and Ireland, jointly announced the signing of a collaborative memorandum of understanding to form an organisational alliance.
The organisational alliance sees the GSA and NMI actively supporting each other’s global and regional initiatives and activities and will focus on fostering business relationships and collaboration among member companies of both organisations. In addition, the GSA and NMI will determine technical and business areas of mutual interest and work collaboratively to address key issues and opportunities.
“We have already collaborated with the NMI on several initiatives and our organisations complement each other well by providing both global and regional expertise and we’re very pleased to officially form an organisational alliance,” said Jodi Shelton, co-founder and executive director of GSA. “Future collaboration will bring increased value and resources to our global semiconductor members.”
Derek Boyd, the NMI’s Chief Executive Officer said, “The semiconductor sector in the UK and Ireland has a worldwide reputation for innovation and our members recognise the value of having a global reach. This alliance helps us deliver this and affords the memberships of both the NMI and the GSA with even greater international networking opportunities.”
