MEMS maker buys for technology
Taiwanese MEMS manufacturer has acquired a USA company for their technology patents
According to local media reports. Taiwanese based MEMS maker Touch Micro-system Technology (TMT) has purchased the complete shares in California-based maker Miradia. The purchase seems to suggest that TMT is planning to move from being just a foundry to an independent device manufacturer. With increased competition from major Taiwanese IC foundries entering the MEMS market place it would appear a prudent positioning from the company.
