AMAT Takes On Ex- Honeywell Vice President



Applied Materials has been named Thomas F. Larkins as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary effective November 26th, following the planned retirement of Joseph J. Sweeney, the company's long-time general counsel.

Larkins joins Applied from Honeywell International, a diversified global technology and manufacturing leader, where he served as Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Deputy General Counsel since 2002. He brings a wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions, global commercial transactions and operations, corporate finance, securities, and corporate governance. 

He joined Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal) in 1997 and has served in various positions, including Vice President and General Counsel of its Automation and Control Solutions business segment and General Counsel of its Aerospace Services business unit.

Larkins received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his J.D. from the University of Southern California.
