TSSI Enables Pre-Silicon Test Automation
TSSI's Solstice is claimed to be the industry's first pre-silicon validation tool that enables design verification engineers to provide validated ATE patterns and timing to their test engineering team
Test Systems Strategies, Inc. (TSSI) has introduced "Solstice", a test automation tool developed to enable both the DFT and design validation engineer to quickly validate pre-silicon patterns and timing within the testbench simulation environment.
TSSI says Solstice eliminates the tedious and iterative process typically requiring the DFT and test engineer to grind through the debugging of failing patterns and timing on their ATE. Providing this validation capability early in the process (pre-silicon) allows correction of critical errors when it's most important and least costly.
"By providing a tool that enables the design team to send validated ATE patterns and timing over to test engineering allows the generation of working test programs in a matter of hours opposed to many times having to be measured in days or even weeks," says Hau Lam, TSSI's CEO.
"Helping to keep your schedules predictable, minimising interrupts in the engineering workflow and ultimately performing as a tool that facilitates accurate communication between the development and test teams."
