Toshiba's CMOS image sensor for mobile devices
The ISP embedded 2-megapixel, 1.75 micron product has been added to the firm's lineup
Toshiba Corporation's new CMOS image sensor is designed for mobile devices such as cellular phones, smartphones and tablets.
The new product, the "T4K28" is now in mass production and should be on the market now.
The T4K28 has an embedded ISP (image signal processor) and provides both parallel and serial (CSI-2 single lane) output, ensuring flexibility in the development of mobile devices. The aspect ratio is 4:3.
The sensor can be supplied as chips, on wafers or in a chip scale packages (CSP) on request. All versions are manufactured within the Toshiba group.
