WTO creates panels to deal with Korea DRAM complaint
The World Trade Organisation (WTO) Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) has set up two panels to deal with Korea’s complaints concerning DRAM anti-dumping duties in Europe (DS299) and the USA (DS296).
The World Trade Organisation (WTO) Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) has set up two panels to deal with Korea’s complaints concerning DRAM anti-dumping duties in Europe (DS299) and the USA (DS296).
European Community (EC) representatives commented that it was certain that its measures would be found fully compatible with WTO requirements. US representatives said that they are confident that its panel would find the determinations made by their authorities to be consistent with WTO obligations.
The EC and US have asked for third-party rights on the on the US and EC panels, respectively. WTO members Japan, China and "Chinese Taipei" (Taiwan) have also requested third-party rights on both panels.
