Infineon takes full SC300 ownership
Infineon Technologies is to buy the 13% minority holding in the Infineon Technologies SC300 fab in Dresden, Germany, owned by Leipziger Messe and SC 300 Beteiligungs for approximately EUR278mn. The acquisition will be financed through increasing Infineon’s capital by approximately 27mn new shares through a capital increase in kind.
Infineon Technologies is to buy the 13% minority holding in the Infineon Technologies SC300 fab in Dresden, Germany, owned by Leipziger Messe and SC 300 Beteiligungs for approximately EUR278mn. The acquisition will be financed through increasing Infineon’s capital by approximately 27mn new shares through a capital increase in kind.
Contractual conditions now allow Infineon to acquire these minority holdings. The 300mm facilities are fully operational and Infineon is taking sole control.
Leipziger Messe is a company owned by the German federal state of Saxony and the city of Leipzig. SC 300 Beteiligungs is a subsidiary of German cleanroom experts M+W Zander Holding, the lead company of Jenoptik’s Clean Systems group.
