German foundry for mixed-signal and power

German company ZMD has launched ZFOUNDRY as a wholly owned subsidiary to focus on analogue mixed-signal and power IC production. ZFOUNDRY inherits 8250m2 in production facilities in Dresden, Germany, from ZMD, with an extra 13,000m2 added in December 2003.
German company ZMD has launched ZFOUNDRY as a wholly owned subsidiary to focus on analogue mixed-signal and power IC production. ZFOUNDRY inherits 8250m2 in production facilities in Dresden, Germany, from ZMD, with an extra 13,000m2 added in December 2003.

The fab provides modular mixed-signal processes, including high-voltage structures, power (thick) metal, and back metal. ZFOUNDRY has a standard portfolio of mixed-signal technologies, including low-voltage and opto devices, with long-term availability for all process generations and certified QS 9000 automotive qualification along with ISO 9001 2000 and environmental ISO 140001 certification.

Products are available on 150mm wafers down to 0.8 and 0.6 micron. As part of its full-service offering, the company provides wafer and final test in its own, fully equipped test facility, along with failure analysis and yield improvement.
