In a first step, a seven-floor office building will be completed and handed over to the owner by March 2005. After a construction period of only ten months, the actual facility building with the research clean room and the associated support areas are then to be handed over to Infineon "ready for equipment" by April 14, 2005.
Infineon and its partners will use the facility to develop innovative memory concepts, and 70nm and below production processes, on 300mm wafers.
