The supervisory board of number two European chip maker STMicroelectronics has approved the appointment of Carlo Bozotti as president and chief executive officer for a three-year term.
The supervisory board of number two European chip maker STMicroelectronics has approved the appointment of Carlo Bozotti as president and chief executive officer for a three-year term.
At the company’s annual general shareholder meting this week, the board backed Bozotti to replace veteran STMicro boss Pasquale Pistorio in April. Pistorio in turn will be made honorary chairman of the company.
Shareholders were also informed at the meeting that Alain Dutheil would be made chief operating officer of the company, reporting directly to Bozotti.
