A federal judge in the US has dismissed US memory chip maker Rambus's patent suit against number one European chip maker Infineon.
Rambus had accused Infineon of using its patented technology in DRAM products without paying royalties. But in a district court in Richmond, judge Robert Payne threw out all of Rambus's claims against Infineon.
Rambus has similar patent claims ongoing against other semiconductor companies, including South Korean memory maker Hynix Semiconductor and US chip manufacturer Micron.
