Chris Belden has been appointed group vice president and general manager of global operations at US semiconductor equipment giant Applied Materials.
Chris Belden has been appointed group vice president and general manager of global operations at US semiconductor equipment giant Applied Materials. Belden - who was previously senior vice president of manufacturing at Motorola - will be responsible for volume manufacturing and materials sourcing.
“[Belden] brings extensive hands-on customer fab management and semiconductor process equipment experience,” said Applied Materials chief executive officer Mike Splinter. “We have worked with him for many years as he built several leading fab facilities for Motorola.”
