Hynix plans to double its expenditure to KRW1.80tr ($1.57bn) to enable facility upgrades.
Hynix plans to double its expenditure to KRW1.80tr ($1.57bn) to enable facility upgrades. The spending may be funded through share issues. The money will mainly be spent on an increase in wafer size to 300mm at an existing 200mm production line in South Korea. The company is also in the process of planning a $2bn joint venture in China with STMicroelectronics.
