Mykrolis acquired the business and assets of Bentec Scientific, a manufacturer of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based brush roller components used in semiconductor manufacturing.
Mykrolis was previously an exclusive worldwide distributor of Bentec's products, which are currently sold by Mykrolis under the Planarcore brand name. The Planarcore products are used in post-chemical mechanical planarisation (CMP) and substrate cleaning. The material consists of a moulded in place PVA construction on a disposable core.
