Kawasaki Microelectronics (K-Micro) has adopted a unified worldwide name, Kawasaki Microelectronics, and brand to present a consistent image.
Kawasaki Microelectronics (K-Micro) has adopted a unified worldwide name, Kawasaki Microelectronics, and brand to present a consistent image. The official abbreviation for the company name is now K-Micro. The North American subsidiary has changed its name from Kawasaki LSI USA, Inc. to Kawasaki Microelectronics America, Inc., and adopted a new logo. K-Micro's core technologies and design support are used in consumer electronics, computer, office-automation, networking, wireless and electronic-storage products.

Tadao Hosomi, president of K-Micro America, comments: "As the fastest growing major ASIC company, we have market momentum and will be expanding into Europe later this year. This is an important step in moving us towards our goal of $1bn in revenues by the end of this decade."
