The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) puts global IC sales in May 2004 at $17.318bn, a 36.9% increase on May 2003.
The sales into Europe came to $3.184bn, a 29.1% increase on May 2003. Growth was also seen in euro terms - 17.3% to EUR2.626bn. Other regions: Americas $3.196bn +26.5%, Japan $3.729 +25.1%, Asia Pacific $7.209bn +54.2%.
UMC reports its June 2004 sales at TWD10.316bn, a 46.79% increase on June 2003.
