Investment & expansion

Silicon Services Consortium has moved into a new 4000m2 facility in Austin, Texas.

Silicon Services Consortium has moved into a new 4000m2 facility in Austin, Texas. The company remanufactures and remarkets Novellus and Applied Materials semiconductor fabrication systems and parts (PVD, CVD and etch).

The new facility previously served as a fabrication plant for a semiconductor company and features a fully-functional Class 1000, 1000m2 clean room. The site will accommodate 25+ system bays, allowing SSC to increase production more than five times over what was possible at its previous location. Larger warehouse space allows SSC to maintain a larger parts inventory, offering a larger selection and faster response times. Past and current customers of the company include Texas Instruments, National, Fairchild, Cypress, ST Microelectronics, Philips and AMD.
