Tokyo Electron is to restructure its US operations by creating a new holding company named Tokyo Electron US Holdings Inc. The new company will oversee TEL's US subsidiaries: Tokyo Electron America (TEA) in Texas, Tokyo Electron Massachusetts (TEM), TEL Technology Center America (TTCA) in New York state and Tokyo Electron Arizona (TAZ).
DuPont has transferred DuPont EKC Technology's chemical mechanical planarisation (CMP) slurry business to DuPont Air Products NanoMaterials, a 50/50 joint venture of DuPont and Air Products. DuPont EKC Technology will focus on developing post-etch residue remover and cleaning technologies for IC fabrication, including the MicroPlanar PCMP5000 Series post-CMP cleaners for copper, tungsten and aluminium CMP processes.
