Semi sales fall in April but outlook remains bright
Worldwide sales of semiconductors declined slightly in April to US$18.2 billion, a fall of 1.2% from the $18.4 billion reported in March, according to the latest figures from the Semiconductor Industry Association.

However, April sales were up 6.9% compared with the US$17.0 billion reported in April 2004.
SIA president George Scalise said that the main reasons for the drop in revenues were falling DRAM prices and a lower mix of semiconductors for cell phones.
