GREENE, TWEED OPENS ENGINEERING CENTER IN ASIA
New Center Will Offer Local Engineering, Collaboration, and Support
Kulpsville, PA (June 2005)—Greene, Tweed announces the establishment of a new engineering center in Asia. The center will become fully operational in October 2005 with design, analysis, custom engineering, and testing capabilities. Located in Kumamoto, Japan, the 10,800- square-foot facility will serve the entire Asia-Pacific area with a focus on Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
“We’ve had a local presence in Asia for over 20 years, but we recognize the need to support our rapidly growing business there by adding significantly to our current capabilities,” said Frank Kawabata, Regional
Manager, Japan. “As more and more customers value collaborative engineering with Greene, Tweed to solve tough sealing problems, we can now provide real-time, native language collaboration and engineering feedback. There’s no substitute to partnering with a customer to design the most appropriate sealing solutions.”
The center will support the growing semiconductor industry in the region at both the OEM and end-user levels, allowing our customers to benefit from the skill and knowledge of highly trained local experts to help them achieve their goals.
