Red hot SOI wafer market reports Soitec
New figures published in a report by Soitec deliver good news all round for the SOI wafer market. Indicated by a 120% year on year sales growth. Through raising its full year guidance to a minimum of an 80% increase, the company is also signalling that this strong industry growth is destined to continue.
This will be guided by a rising tide of performance efficient electronic devices designed with SOI-based chips fuelling the market. The report by Soitec of a 122.6 % increase for the quarter sets a new record and the guidance for full year revenue growth is raised to more than 80%.
More positive results are indicated by the commitment other semiconductor leaders are showing by voicing their confidence that the SOI era has arrived. Soitec concludes by confirming a contract valued at more than $150 million for the calendar year has been signed with AMD.
