Final worldwide semiconductor revenue shipment data released by the SIA showed total revenue shipments in December were $21.8 billion, an increase of 10.6%. Positive results were reflected for both the Americas and Asia Pacific with revenue growth of 14.9%, stronger than the worldwide average of 10.6%. Asia Pacific registered the greatest of growth of 14.9% whilst the Americas fell behind with 11.8%. Contrasting to this Europe and Japan reached only single digit growth and subsequently dropped behind with 5.9% growth.
