Key ASIC and Silterra partnership
Key ASIC and Silterra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd announced a partnership to offer streamlined design-to-manufacture services for ASICs in the mobile and consumer electronics markets.
As part of the collaboration between the two companies, Key ASIC will provide mutual customers access to its wide IP portfolio and design services on Silterra's 0.18- and 0.13-micron CMOS process technologies. "Our study of the market revealed the recent rise of many fabless ASIC companies with foundries and design houses coupling to offer streamlined IDM services," said Kah Yee Eg, founder and CEO of Key ASIC. "Because we have a core competence in low-power and high-performance design and an IP portfolio targeted for consumer applications, Silterra was a natural foundry choice by virtue of its focus in the same market segments and its high-quality silicon process technologies."
