Indian directory available

India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the national body for the Indian semiconductor industry released its first Member Directory at their Annual Dinner celebrations on July 18, 2006.

The ISA Member Directory is the first comprehensive database of Indian and global semiconductor design, manufacturing, testing and EDA tool companies as well as academic institutions and venture funds. This compilation of data is a ready-reckoner of contact details and company information of ISA member companies. The ISA member directory is a useful tool for students looking at building a career in the semicon space and for organizations looking to garner business partnerships.

The directory launch was witnessed by Dr Anup K Pujari – Principal Secretary IT, BT, Science and Technology – Government of Karnataka, Ms Rathna Prabha – Principal Secretary IT and Communications – Government of Andhra Pradesh, over 80 CEOs from ISA's member companies and other distinguished guests.

The ISA-Frost & Sullivan reports project the revenue for the semiconductor market comprising of electronic equipment manufacturing, design and fabrication, will grow to $ 363 billion in the year 2015 from 2.82 billion in 2005 with a CAGR of 29.8% over this period. The design market is expected to grow to $43.07 billion in 2015 from $3.25 billion in 2005 with a CAGR of 30%. The sector is expected to create 3.58 million jobs in 2015 from the present 0.52 million in 2005. The directory will be available for sale via the SIA.
