UCLT changes name to Pixer Technology
Mr. Hagay Sitry, President and CEO, explains: "Pixer" is a combination of "PIXel" and "lasER". These two elements symbolize the two key basics of the company's core technology. By using femtolaser technology, optical elements (pixels) are inserted into clear media such as quartz and enable mask & wafer Critical Dimension Control (CDC). The company's initial product, the CDC101 thus offers IC manufacturers and mask makers a unique solution for one of the most urgent needs of the semiconductor industry."
The name change is part of the company's strategic positioning and the move from technology provider to a fully proven solution that can easily be adopted by IC manufacturers and mask makers. The strategic shift follows numerous testing and verification of the unique Shade-In Element technology to test its effect on the durability and the performance of photomasks and extensive use during photolithography processes. As part of this effort, Pixer opened a demonstration centre that allows for prompt response to any request of testing Pixer's CDC101 and its related applications.
Mr. Sitry adds: We believe that the CDC application has reached a maturation point where it can safely be used by IC manufacturers and mask makers to improve CD uniformity and control critical dimension."
Pixer also announced that Mr. Gideon (Gidi) Gottlieb has joined Pixer as Director of Marketing. Among other, Mr. Gottlieb will be focusing on implementing this strategic move by implementing advanced product management methodologies that will lead to an easy-to-adapt product. Prior to joining Pixer, Mr. Gottlib served as a Product Unit Head for Mask CD-SEM at Applied Materials Israel, along with other marketing and product managerial positions in mask and wafer related products.
