Collaboration discussed between India and Taiwan
Reflecting the growing opportunities for cross regional development India Semiconductor Association (ISA) and Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) organized a panel discussion on ‘Opportunities and areas of cooperation between Taiwan and India'. Leaders from the semiconductor industry of both countries shared insights on various areas of collaboration. The event was supported by the UK multinational ARM Embedded Technologies.
The delegation had chosen the city of Bangalore since it is considered the semiconductor design hub of the country, with nearly 70 Indian and multinational chip design houses based out of Bangalore; and also as a base for areas of partnership and collaboration.
Speaking on the occasion, ISA President – Poornima Shenoy stated, "This is an excellent opportunity for Bangalore to showcase its design capabilities and the large talent pool that is available here."
According to Dr TY Wu – President TSIA, "We are very happy to be in the semiconductor hub of India. This seminar has been a wonderful platform for us to explore partnership opportunities."
