Elke Eckstein joins AMD as Vice President of Fab 30
Reporting to Hans Deppe, corporate vice president and General Manager of AMD Dresden, Germany. In this Dresden-based role, Eckstein will have overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of AMD's Fab 30, as well as oversee the transformation to 300 millimeter wafer production as Fab 38.

"With tremendous industry experience in semiconductor technology and manufacturing, Elke brings the necessary skills and expertise to provide continued leadership at Fab 30 and drive a smooth transition to 300 millimeter production."
Prior to joining AMD, Eckstein spent three years as CEO of Altis Semiconductor, a joint venture between IBM and Infineon. Eckstein started her career with Siemens Semiconductor, which later became Infineon, holding a variety of executive roles including research and development responsibility for their Dresden-based manufacturing facility. She also held executive roles in product and technology at ProMOS Technologies, a former joint venture between Infineon and Mosel Vitelic in Taiwan.
