Camstar expands operations in Asia

Camstar has announced the opening of its operations in Shanghai, in the People's Republic of China.

Camstar has announced the opening of its operations in Shanghai, in the People's Republic of China. The company continues to invest in its global support structure to ensure the success of its customers in the Asia region. The new office will serve as a sales office and competency centre to provide training and education to customers and partners in the region. It will augment the support offices already located in Singapore and Japan. The new office will allow Camstar to fully serve global customers such as, Amkor Technology, Hitachi, NXP (Philips), GEM Services, SanDisk, and Sony Ericsson (BMC).

"The opening of this office is a key step in building the infrastructure for our global operations," said Scott Toney, President and CEO of Camstar Systems. "We expect this office to make a significant contribution to Camstar's future growth. We now have a full Camstar team in close proximity to key customers and partners, which gives us the competitive advantage in this dramatically growing market. Camstar will leverage this office to benefit customers in our key verticals of electronics, semiconductors, medical devices, and biotechnology."

In addition to providing training and education for its partners and customers, Camstar-Shanghai is also tasked with expanding its market share in China. Camstar's InSite Enterprise Operations Execution (EOE) system is experiencing rapid adoption in the global market place.

"Camstar is well positioned to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the expanding international manufacturing community in China," said Morris St. Angelo, Camstar's Managing Director of Asia Operations. "Our product is proving itself in China every day. Now we have the infrastructure in place to continue to build on our successes."
