Rim Semiconductor opens European markets
Rim Semiconductor Company has completed a representative agreement with Axellence, launching sales and marketing programs in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
Bernd Schlueter, Managing Director of Axellence, stated, "Based on our conversations with our existing customers, we believe Rim Semiconductor's Cupria product will have tremendous success in our marketplace. Axellence has contributed to significant design wins and revenue growth of many innovative technology companies in Europe."
Europe leads the world with approximately 35% or close to 60 million of the world's DSL subscribers followed by South East Asia with about 37 million, Asia Pacific with close to 30 million and the US also with near 30 million, according to researcher In-Stat. European carriers also lead in deployment of new premium video over copper services which in most cases will require an upgrade of existing ADSL technology. Consumer demand for high-speed Internet services in Europe is at an all-time high, according to results published by Frost & Sullivan.
"Europe will continue to lead in investing and evolving their DSL networks and it is critical to invest and participate in the European semiconductor market to capitalize on the opportunities," stated Brad Ketch, president and chief executive officer of Rim Semiconductor Company. "We are very excited to have Axellence's experienced team representing Rim Semi and Cupria in Europe."
