ASML seeks 300 of Europe's best engineering talent
ASML Holding NV (ASML) announced that it is seeking an additional 300 engineers and technicians to join the company in the Netherlands as it continues to advance semiconductor lithography technology. Outside Europe, ASML plans to hire 100 new employees for its operations in the United States and approximately 100 new employees in Asia.
"ASML continues to achieve consistent growth, driven by demand for our products. As a result, we are seeking the best and brightest engineering and scientific talent we can find for our campus in Veldhoven, the Netherlands," said Adriaan Lanser, Director Resources and Talent Management of ASML. "ASML offers the chance to be involved at the forefront of high technology development, as the evolution of chips toward ever-faster, ever-smaller and increasingly more energy efficient is dictated by the capacity of our systems. Our technology is always aimed at customer needs and therefore our specialists collaborate closely with customers worldwide and are involved in all aspects of a product, from start to finish, even at multi-disciplinary levels."
In 2006, ASML began a campaign to hire new technical employees at its headquarters in the Netherlands. Despite this successful Dutch recruitment campaign, ASML's demand for engineering and scientific expertise continues to rise. The company is now continuing recruitment efforts worldwide through a major recruitment program targeting high tech specialists, particularly in the areas of embedded software, electronics, mechatronics and physics. This global program will specifically target Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan and the United States. As part of this campaign, ASML will also recruit engineers and customer service associates by participating in local campus and association career fairs across the globe.
Career listings will be posted on the ASML careers site along with access to the virtual clean room as well. ASML has also launched a virtual cleanroom that provides prospective ASML engineering and scientific talent a behind-the-scenes view of the company's technology operations, and the opportunity to hear what current employees say about a career with the company.
Here prospective employees can view various elements of ASML tool development, including imaging, architecture and integration, stages, measurement systems and software. Each section educates visitors about the technology in use and includes commentary from employees about how they apply their skill sets in various career disciplines to ASML projects.
