Berkeley Design Automation, Inc has announced that Newport Media has adopted the company's Analogue FastSPICE circuit simulator. Analogue FastSPICE enables Newport Media's designers to verify their multi-standard mobile TV designs in a fraction of the time required by traditional SPICE tools."Our single chip, multi-band, multi-standard ICs for mobile digital TV applications have extreme verification needs," said Frank Carr, vice president, RF engineering for Newport Media. "We've tried a number of simulators, and Analogue FastSPICE is a circuit simulator that can run our full-circuit and complex blocks simulations with full SPICE accuracy.
