Microchip sales rise 6%
The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has said that global microchip sales rose nearly 6% in September, driven by demand for consumer products like personal computers and cell phones
Microchip sales in September were US$22.6 billion, compared with US$21.3 billion last year. Third quarter sales rose about 6% to US$67.8 billion from US$64.0 billion, in the same period a year ago.
