BASF opens new Electronic Materials Centre Europe
BASF has opened its new Electronic Materials Centre Europe in Ludwigshafen, Germany
After a construction period of 15 months, the site is now complete and BASF presented the new construction centre to its customers in the semiconductor industry last Friday.
The production plant for process chemicals for the semi industry is fully integrated in BASF's Verbund site and the venture has created 60 new jobs.
After completion of the qualification activities at the end of the year, routine production will begin in January 2008.
