HMS completes its fifth factory
HMS was acquired in June 2007 by RENA Sondermaschinenbau GmbH. RENA that is specialised inwet-processing equipment for the solar and semiconductor industry is ranked in the top ten list of global equipment suppliers with a group turnover of US$150 million, 700 employees and eight factories.
The factory will manufacture elements of the wet-processing systems for RENA and HMS alike. The machines are then completed in the individual German facilities. From here the equipment is delivered all over the world with the ‘Made in Europe' stamp which stands as a trademark for excellent engineering solutions.
The investment was made in order to expand the existing business and to utilize the resources of the regions within Europe. Large capacities are required due to the high market growth rate that will reach approximately 40% this year. As a trendsetter HMS successfully began in 1995 to explore the possibilities of a European resource pool, the advantages being the proximity between the two countries, similar mentalities, few language problems and no customs within the EU.
