Chinese semiconductor manufacturer files for USA IPO
Shanghai-based BCD Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with U.S. regulators and plans to offer 6 million American depositary shares in the range of US$9 to US$11 each.
In announcing the filing the company stated that they will be underwritten by Deutsche Bank Securities, Needham & Co, and Piper Jaffray. BCD generated net revenue of US$69.3 million, up 40 percent year-on-year, and a net income of $735,000, up from a loss of $5 million in the year-ago period, in the first nine months of 2007. BCD Semiconductor is an analogue integrated device manufacturer specializing in power management integrated circuits.
It plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the symbol "BCDS."
