Wipro selected by NEC Electronics for semiconductor design services

IT Major establishes dedicated engineering development center for NEC Electronics, Bangalore, India.
Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited, announced that it has been selected by NEC Electronics to provide semiconductor design services. Headquartered in Kawasaki Japan, NEC Electronics, a manufacturer of system-on-chip (SoC), microcontroller, and discrete semiconductor solutions. The development centre was inaugurated by President and CEO of NEC Electronics, Toshio Nakajima, at Wipro's Electronics City facility in Bangalore. The development centre will provide front end and back end design services and IP to NEC Electronics for Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) and microcontrollers in the digital consumer and automotive areas. Wipro will also work on various designs ranging from 150nm, 130nm up to 55nm.
