New co-operation with GEROLD. Laser systems for the PV Industry.
4JET Sales+Service GmbH expands its activities in the photovoltaics industry. 4JET, a specialised integrator of laser surface treatment machinery, supplies coating removal systems for processing glass based and flexible thinfilm solar cells. 4JET products are used by makers of CIS/CIGS, Cd:Te and amorphous silicon thinfilm solar cells. Product offerings for the PV industry include systems for edge deletion, tool cleaning and for processing flexible solar cells. 4JET has know how in processing semiconductors, metallic layers and different TCO coatings. Th announced co-operation with GEROLD GmbH & Co. KG in Nettetal, Germany, allows 4JET to supply turnkey solutions for surface cleaning machinery. GEROLD supplies material handling solutions for solar glass and automation for PV production lines. Besides laser process technology and IT implementation, 4JET can now also supply conveyor and automation solutions. 4JET is a supplier of laser surface treatment systems to the tire industry. 4JET equipment is used by 8 of the global top-10 tire makers. The company is now adding further resources in application and development for its photovoltaics business. General Manager Jörg Jetter in a statement: “Our experience in supplying to the price sensitive and demanding tire industry is a good basis for the PV marketplace. We supply industrial machinery that combines innovative laser technology with solid mechanical engineering. Our customers face the challenge to ramp up production in the shortest “time to market”. Our individually tailored turnkey solutions allow to focus on core processes and minimise the interfaces and engineering capacity for our customers.”
