Aviza Technology divests ET equipment
Company sells machine shop operation in the UK
Aviza Technology, a supplier of semiconductor
capital equipment and process technologies for the global
semiconductor industry and related markets, announced that the
company has sold ET Equipment Ltd, its machine shop operation located
in Cwmfelin-fach, Wales, United Kingdom, to ETEQ Limited located in
Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"The machine shop operation is not part of Aviza's core area of
expertise and no longer contributes to the company's current strategy
to focus on the development and manufacturing of advanced
semiconductor equipment and process technologies," said Jerry Cutini,
President and CEO of Aviza Technology, "However, ETEQ Limited
will remain an ongoing supplier to Aviza to support the company's
manufacturing operations in Wales."
