Vegard Wollan commences role as new CEO of Nordic Semiconductor
New CEO joins Nordic at CES 2024 to meet key customers and partners, after taking over from former CEO, Svenn-Tore Larsen.
Following his recent appointment by the Board of Directors of Nordic Semiconductor ASA, Vegard Wollan, new CEO of Nordic Semiconductor, will commence his tenure by attending CES 2024. The world’s leading consumer electronics exhibition takes place from January 9 to 12, 2024.
Wollan started with Nordic on January 1, 2024, succeeding Svenn-Tore Larsen who stepped down on December 31, 2023.
“I’m choosing to represent Nordic at CES as one of my first points of business because CES is a premier event for our industry, and an excellent opportunity to meet key customers and other important industry figures early in my new role,” says Wollan. “I am looking forward to meeting up with the Nordic team and showcasing our latest innovations in low power wireless connectivity solutions.“
As a global leader in broad-range wireless IoT connectivity, Nordic will be on booth 52323 at the Venetian Expo and will exhibit products supporting all the foundational technologies of the IoT, including cellular IoT (NB-IoT and LTE-M), DECT NR+, low power Wi-Fi, Matter, and Bluetooth® Low Energy (Bluetooth LE).
The exhibition will be the first event at which the company will introduce its nRF54H Series, the company’s fourth-generation wireless SoC with superior processing power, a generous amount of memory, and excellent efficiency. The company will also launch significant hardware, software, and development tools updates to its nRF91 Series – further enhancing its end-to-end solutions for cellular IoT and DECT NR+.
