Titans of the global semiconductor industry to speak at CEO Summit

News

As SEMICON Southeast Asia (SEA), the region’s flagship event for the global electronics manufacturing and supply chain community, prepares to host its inaugural and highly anticipated CEO Summit, an exceptional lineup of international industry leaders has been confirmed to speak.

Taking place on Tuesday, 20 May 2025, from 1 pm to 5 pm (Singapore Time) at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore, the CEO Summit is poised to be the crown jewel of the three-day event.

This year’s CEO Summit is anchored on the timely theme, ‘Stronger Together – Collaborating to Navigate Uncertainties and Fostering Resilience,’ a reflection of the industry’s collective response to rising economic volatility, supply chain disruption, regulatory headwinds, and rapid technological change.

Headlining this high-level gathering are some of the most influential names from the world’s top semiconductor companies:

Dr Tien Wu, Director & Chief Operating Officer, Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. (ASE Group)

Dr Prabu Raja, President, Semiconductor Products Group, Applied Materials

Mr Tim Breen, Chief Executive Officer, GlobalFoundries

Dr Rutger Wijburg, Chief Operations Officer, Infineon Technologies

Mr David Goeckeler, Chief Executive Officer, Sandisk

Mr Pierre Barnabé, Chief Executive Officer, Soitec

These prominent C-suite leaders bring deep expertise and firsthand perspectives on issues such as navigating complex supply chains, scaling for AI and advanced computing, talent development, and building a resilient and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem. With their companies collectively driving multi-billion-dollar innovations globally, their insights are expected to shape the industry's strategic direction for years to come.

Held as part of SEMICON Southeast Asia 2025, the CEO Summit serves as a strategic dialogue platform where senior executives, and thought leaders engage in cross-cutting discussions around innovation, investment, and sustainable growth. As Southeast Asia continues to rise as a key global semiconductor hub, the 2025 edition highlights the region’s strategic importance on the global stage.

“Southeast Asia is playing an increasingly strategic role in the global semiconductor ecosystem,” said Ajit Manocha, President and CEO of SEMI. “The presence of influential CEOs at SEMICON Southeast Asia 2025 underscores the region’s growing leadership in innovation, sustainability, and collaboration. Their participation reinforces the importance of coming together to tackle global challenges and seize new opportunities in this fast-evolving industry.”

“The CEO Summit offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from some of the brightest minds in the global semiconductor industry,” said Linda Tan, President of SEMI Southeast Asia. “We are honoured to host these esteemed leaders and look forward to the impactful conversations that will shape not only the future of the industry in Southeast Asia, but also its direction on the global stage.”

SEMICON Southeast Asia is the region’s premier global electronics manufacturing and supply chain event, and will take place from 20 - 22 May 2025 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. Marking its 30th anniversary, SEMICON Southeast Asia will gather industry leaders, innovators, academia, and global policymakers to exchange insights, present emerging trends and solutions, and forge new partnerships.

The three-day event is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees and showcase more than 1,300 exhibiting booths from over 600 local and international companies. The broader event will feature keynotes, technical forums, talent development programmes, sustainability showcases, workshops, and networking sessions, offering an unmatched platform for global engagement.
