VyperCore launches VyperLab

News

An evaluation platform to showcase its innovative compute accelerator technology.

VyperCore, the pioneering high performance processor company, has launched VyperLab, a new cloud-based evaluation platform for its groundbreaking technology. VyperLab allows Lead Partners to explore the power of its hardware accelerator innovation, delivering significant energy savings, enhanced performance, and memory-safety for server applications in next-generation data centers. Examples include large-scale web enterprises, high volume data analytics, bioinformatics, and the complex data processing needs of compute intensive applications.

VyperCore’s game-changing technology offers a glimpse into the future of managed language server applications which underpin much of the world’s digital infrastructure. It has the potential to reduce data center CPU energy consumption by up to 80% by delivering five times faster performance within a hardware-protected memory-safe environment. By accelerating already deployed software, with zero code changes, VyperCore envisages a paradigm shift towards enhanced performance efficiency, delivering major cost savings whilst supporting a more sustainable, eco-friendly technology.

The VyperCore technology also delivers hardware enforced memory-safety following Secure by Design principles with an architecture that eliminates the impact of memory safety vulnerabilities, responsible for 70% of cybersecurity issues over the past two decades—without compromising performance, silicon area, or power efficiency.

VyperLab is a new cloud-based platform which demonstrates a comprehensive set of capabilities, including:

• Frictionless evaluation of target acceleration of existing in-production application code

• In-cloud demonstration of the hardware memory safety capabilities of VyperCore’s architecture

• Architectural collaboration for further acceleration gains

• Cloud-hosted platform ensures partners’ code and data confidentiality

Russell Haggar, CEO of VyperCore said: “The VyperCore technology has generated immense excitement due to its potential to revolutionise our industry. Our partners will love the 5x acceleration and the planet will love the lower power consumption and CO2 emissions.” He added:“Consumers will love that our memory safe solutions deliver a safer internet with fewer IT meltdowns and greatly enhanced cybersecurity.”

Kevin Crain, industry expert and recent CTO of Intel Ignite London, said: “The progress that the team at VyperCore has made since graduating from the Intel Ignite London program is truly impressive. They now have a fully demonstrable system that allows customers to experience the substantial energy savings and five-fold acceleration in future production hardware. I am looking forward to seeing this technology expand across the industry ."

UKRI's Director of Digital Security by Design, John Goodacre, stated: “It is great to see VyperCore embrace Secure by Design principles - eliminating memory safety vulnerabilities through a hardware-enforced, secured accelerator design. This approach aligns perfectly with the Digital Security by Design philosophy of designing in security at the foundations to block the exploitation of memory safety vulnerabilities.” John added: “This promises organisations access to both potential substantial performance improvement while also delivering increased resilience against cyber-attacks.”

Early access for Lead Partners

VyperLab is available to Lead Partners via an early access program. It gives them the opportunity to run their existing production code (with zero code changes) on a secure isolated cloud instance, deploying VyperCore's prototype Booth processor core as a high-performance general-purpose compute accelerator. Metrics built into the prototype platform will produce a detailed analysis of the execution of the application, both with and without VyperCore's technology, highlighting the acceleration potential. Lead Partners can then collaborate to guide the development of the VyperCore product and fine-tune the performance of their application.

VyperCore is inviting qualified customers to join its Lead Partner program. Interested parties can email Lead.Partner@VyperCore.com or register on the VyperCore website for further information.

With a roadmap that delivers fully memory-safe, server class accelerator hardware, offering an unprecedented up to 5x acceleration with significantly lower power consumption, VyperCore is pioneering a transformative shift in both performance efficiency and security for general-purpose computing.
